7 липня відбулось відкриття виставки Inter Arma. Мистецтво під час війни у галереї Хлібня на території Софійського заповідника. У виставці взяли участь митці, які пережили окупацію та ті, хто перебував в Україні під час перших місяців війни. Дякую за запрошення організаторам! Непроста виставка, побачити та почути історії окупації, переживання та страхи, але ці розмови майже терапевтичні, адже ми всі тримались один одного, підтримували, обіймали. Проста розмова, яка лікує. Вражена картинами-палімпсестами пані Julia Skripka, акварелями з Бучі пана Artist Ilya Yarovoy, експресивними рисунками пані Larisa Kirichenko Рада побачитись вживу після онлайн-спілкування із Artist Ilya Yarovoy та Alena Kuznetsova, пані Марина Полякова рада зустрічі! приємне знайомство з Oksana Gutsalenko! Приємно, що підходили та дякували за групу Мистецька толока, для мене це важливо, всіх обіймаю! Тримаймось, творимо, допомагаємо нашим захисникам!

Yesterday, the opening of the Inter Arma Art during the war exhibition took place in the Khlibnia gallery on the territory of the Sofia Reserve. Artists who survived the occupation and those who were in Ukraine during the first months of the war took part in the exhibition. Thanks to the organizers for the invitation! It is not an easy exhibition, to see and hear the stories of the occupation, experiences and fears, but these conversations are almost therapeutic, because we all held each other, supported, hugged. A simple conversation that heals. I am amazed by Ms. Julia Skripka’s palimpsest paintings! This is death, suffering, despair, and at the same time the concentration of all resources and opportunities, unity and patriotism. This is the pain of losses and the joy of victories. The artist experiences all these states and situations together with all of them, but the profession obliges him to analyze and comprehend them in the form of an artistic product. This exhibition is an attempt to pre-assess the artistic reactions to the first weeks and months of the war, events and plots that artists single out from the stream of experiences. Albert Camus wrote that during the war, people lose their usual world, the established order of things and affairs and are forced to become what they were not. In such a case, the will of the artist, in spite of everything, to engage in usual peaceful affairs – to look, analyze and paint – acquires the meaning of existential resistance to the absurdity of total destruction. After the war is over, we will surely see the art of those who are now on the front lines. And this, as has already happened more than once after difficult wars, can turn out to be an art of hitherto unseen emotions and expressive possibilities.*INTER ARMA – the first part of Cicero’s aphorism that “During war the laws are silent.” Later, the proverb “When guns speak, muses are silent” arose on its basis.
