Children are flowers of life

ua/eng 4 червня міжнародний день пам’яті дітей-жертв агресії. Я ще минулого року планувала нарисувати ляльку – єдину іграшку, яка залишилась з дитинства. Із-за великих і малих переїздів ми не мали змоги перевозити багато іграшок, тож цей рисунок мав бути спогадом про дитинство у Казахстані.Але перші зарисовки я почала робити вже під час повітряних тривог після новин про Київську область – Бучу, Гостомель, Мощун…Раніше я хотіла назвати рисунок “Діти – квіти життя”, пупсики у траві, як пуп’янки на деревах. Досі не певна чи завершила я цю композицію. Насьогодні офіційне число дітей-жертв за 100 днів війни – 261. Зросла кількість поранених- 463, повідомляє офіс генпрокурора.Я не можу дихати, коли думаю про це. Маєм жити з цим, маєм пам’ятати.

4 of June is the International Day of Remembrance for Children Victims of Aggression. Last year I planned to draw a doll – the only toy left over from childhood. Due to large and small relocations, we were not able to transport many toys, so this drawing was supposed to be a memory of my childhood in Kazakhstan. But I started making the first sketches during the air alarms after the news about the Kyiv region – Bucha, Gostomel, Moshchun …I used to want to call the picture “Children are the flowers of life”, baby dolls in the grass, like buds on trees. I’m still not sure if I finished this artwork. Today, the official number of child victims of 100 days of war is 261. The number of wounded has increased to 463, according to the Prosecutor General’s Office. I can’t breathe when I think about it. We have to live with it, we have to remember.
